Finds & needs - Parka coats

  1. Black winter parka jacket
  2. Blue faux fur parka
  3. Army green detachable fur parka
  4. Green fur hooded parka
  5. Red faux fur hooded parka
  6. Blue hooded floral parka
Parka coats. Who would't love parka coats? I for sure do. They're cozy and warm and stylish. I personally hate those big and puffy winter coats. Back in the winter 2012 shops in Seoul were full of different kinds of parka coats.  I bought my brown parka (exactly like the coat no. 1) for only 50 000 won from Dongdaemun. This year I'd like to get an army green one, maybe short one like no. 4.

Do you guys like parka coats or have any particular kind of jackets and coats you like to wear?

TO DO - list for Korea.

Hey guys !
How was your summer? I hope you all enjoyed yourselves and are ready for the autumn and school or work or whatever you have planned for yourself for the rest of this year~ I couldn't be more excited. I'm absolutely loving the rainy days we've been having here in Finland lately and I can't wait to get to start wearing cozy sweaters and scarfs and beanies and whatnot.

Another reason why I'm so excited is that I have about 4 and a half months left in Finland before I'm moving to Seoul. I wrote about our plane ticket dilemma here earlier, but briefly, Finnair was having this summer sale for Asian flights for few weeks during June so we already had to buy our tickets to get them half the price they usually are. So, yes, I am officially moving to South Korea in January 12th, 2015 ! So the problem is we have no idea how Korea's Embassy here in Finland operates during Christmas and New Year's, and the admission certificate from Hanyang University won't be sent to us before mid-late December, so, yay for not knowing if we have time to get our visas done before our flight to Seoul leaves! ....

I've been messaging back and forth with the person who deals with international undergraduate admissions at Hanyang and she said that it might be possible for us to pay the tuition earlier and also get the admission certificate sent to us earlier. So, I'm still feeling nervous, but hopeful.

I thought now would be a good time to organize my own thoughts a little bit and write down a rough "to do - list" for Korea! So here we go.

  1. Get plane tickets  check!
  2. Get paperwork done for university application:
    - translate high school diploma
    - take ugly ass passport pictures
    - do a study plan
    - fill the application form
    - get a bank certificate
    - take passport copies
  3. Figure out how to find an apartment from Seoul - check!
  4. Book a room from a guesthouse for couple of weeks (to stay in while looking for an apartment).
  5. Find out about travel insurances and get one.
  6. Get rid of useless clothes & stuff & sell them.
  7. Study. More. Korean !
  8. Buy another huge suitcase.
  9. Make a budget for Korea. Stick to it.
  10. Get another visa card - just in case.
  11. Decide what to take to Korea with you.
  12. Get a student visa done and still make it to your flight in January.
  13. Mentally prepare to face a huge chaos in Korea trying to get your life in order on the other side of the world.
After writing that all down, I realized there's much less stuff to do than I thought there would be... I think I can handle that, hahah~ Besides all the things mentioned above I plan to start going to the gym regularly again now that summer is over, meet with friends a lot and try to enjoy my last months in Finland. Ahh. I'm really, really excited now.

Until the next time ~

INSPIRATION - summer outfits '14

Hello guys!
I feel like I start every blog post with the exact same greeting..

I've been planning and putting together this post for the past week or so and I'm very excited to finally publish this ! My taste in fashion seems to change every other month and I'm still kinda looking for "my own style". I like to mix and match all kind of different styles together. Lately I've been inspired by floral pattern clothes, snapbacks and simple yet feminine street...kind of..style? Does that make sense? hahah~ Anyway! Here we go. 6 outfits I put together that I personally think are in and cute and would totally wear.

outfit
#1 - Girly street style
Starting with my favorite. Simple crop top with black high waisted skinny jeans, canvas sneakers, a snap back and a floral backpack. I think this is really casual yet all the floral prints make it still look girly. An outfit you can easily put together and wear pretty much anywhere.

#2 - Sporty & casual
Short culottes are, I swear, the most comfortable piece of clothing, ever. They feel as comfortable as shorts yet look as cute as a mini skirt. These culottes from RyuRyu come with a belt that gives the impression of a sweater wrapped around your hips (Cute, right?), it makes the outfit "sporty" yet it still looks casual and nice. I paired them up with a Mickey mouse crop top, black leather backpack, white lace-up oxfords and a "mercer" watch from Michael Kors. Not a lot of color in this outfit, but good old black & white can never look boring.

#3 - The boyfriend look
Who wouldn't like the super casual boyfriend style once in a while? H&M's boyfriend jeans combined with a white LA x CA muscle t-shirt. And, well, since I'm having a major floral phase going on, VANS' floral sneakers.  Could work with a pair of simple high heels as well if you rolled up the jeans and tied the hem of the shirt to make it a bit shorter.

#4 - Cute & girly
This is also one of my favorites. I absolutely love the blouse and the mini bag. PUMA's bright red wedge sneakers add color to the outfit and still keep it feminine, you know, despite being sneakers. How surprising I once again chose something with a floral print on it--

#5 - Classy & chic
I need that backpack. It's gorgeous. And I need it. Otherwise, this is, once again, one of those "black 'n white" outfits that don't really even need any color, if you ask me. The gold jewelry kinda makes up for the lack of color, and also instantly creates this "expensive" illusion. This look is also very easy to create, as pretty much all the stores are full of crop tops and jersey skirts. Can also be worn (and will look gorgeous) with a pair of high heels, but since I have a serious height complex I chose Michael kors' gladiator sandals which, in my opinion, look very classy and suit this look as well.

#6 - Simple bohemian
Now I know this outfit isn't really the actual "bohemian" style but I had no idea what else to call it, and in my opinion this is a good "base" for a bohemian outfit. I'd tug the loose blouse inside those high waisted shorts or / and maybe wear a brown belt with the shirt to give it more posture. I personally love gladiator sandals (especially if they have studs on them, how classy is that) but a pair of cute fringe boots would also go well together with this outfit and at the same time make it a lot more bohemian if you're looking to go more into that direction.

So there you go~ My current fashion inspirations. What do you think? Did you find any outfits you like? which one is your favorite?

Särkänniemi Park @ Tampere, Finland

Hello guys !
Yesterday Sara & I went to an amusement park called "Särkänniemi" in a city of Tampere here in Finland. Had a blast, even though it was a wayyy too hot day. I love amusement parks & all kinds of crazy rides and roller-coasters and it's always so cheery and great. I could spend hours just wandering around and enjoying the atmosphere.

I had my super cute yet super fake MCM backpack that I bought in Spain. Also wore my "get up get down" crop top for the first time.
Today we went to get some coffee and then had a strawberry picnic in a park near the train station while waiting for Sara's train to arrive. Gonna miss my girl ~ We're getting an outside Jacuzzi next week though, and we're planning to have a small Jacuzzi party in few weeks, hahah~

Until the next time~
